Attalos Hotel is one of the best hotels in Athens. It has a terrific balcony view of Acropolis that’s even more magical at night. Here is our honest review!
During our 11-day road trip in Greece, we decided to treat ourselves to some of the best hotels in Athens. Well, at least for 2 days. We were looking for something affordable, cozy, and close to the city center. So we found two great hotels! Hotel Attalos was the first one we checked.
It looked like a hotel that has everything that we need; a nice balcony view on Acropolis, rooftop bar, cozy bed, and great review. I had no idea Hotel Attalos is a 3-star with an international award as “Your Home away from Home, in the heart of Athens.” Honestly, it was not hard to choose which room we want from their 78 modern equipped rooms as we already fell in love deeply with the historical part of Greek’s capital.
Why to choose Hotel Attalos?
– The roof bar of the hotel with affordable prices and magnificent views of the Acropolis, the Lycabettus and a
panoramic view across the city of Athens.
– Easy access to everything especially major sites
– Its location: three minutes from Monastiraki, Psiri, Ermou and just 10 minutes walking to Acropolis, the Ancient Agora, and Plaka.
– Right in the heart of many restaurants, clubs, bars, and Athens nightlife in general
Why I think Hotel Attalos is one of the best hotels in Athens?
Besides all the reasons I mentioned above, Hotel Attalos is a perfect choice because all of the hotel’s 78 rooms are individually controlled air-conditioned and fully equipped with central heating, soundproof windows – for wild couples lol, satellite TV, direct – dial telephone, curtains, closet, super comfortable bed, mini-refrigerator – which is great! Then you also have a safe box, private bathrooms with hairdryers, slippers, and bath amenities! That means you do not need to bring or buy your shower gel, shampoo, and shaving accessory! Also, there is a free wi-fi access internet which is quite strong – perfect for digital nomads just like me.
This was our room…
Double or Twin Room with Balcony
Our room had a balcony with city views plus an Acropolis view and a Lycabettus hill view. Indeed, it is quite special during the day, but it gets even more special during the night! We have been told that we can order a wake-up call, use iron and laundry service upon request, maid service, room service, and many more! This hotel really makes you feel like you are at home. Actually, even better because at home you have to do all those things the hotel staff does for you!
To be honest, we did not eat breakfast in the hotel as we went earlier to experience more of the Greek mainland. However, it is great that there is a breakfast service. So for 9 euros per person, you can enjoy in buffet with plenty of Greek delicacies and many other dishes! I heard that the breakfast is worth the amount, but I need to come back and try it to confirm it!
Hotel Attalos rooftop bar – is it worth the hype?
To cut to the chase – it is! I think what makes Hotel Attalos one of the best hotels in Athens is indeed its terrific Athens panorama view and Acropolis view. And I know everyone will agree with me on that! There is simply something beyond words when you are peacefully sitting on the balcony with the powerful view of surreal historical Acropolis. Highly inspirational and worth every single penny of coming to this magnificent hotel!
If you are looking for accommodation that is cozy, affordable, but still urban and close-by to the city center of Athens, Attalos hotel is perfect for you! It suits great for people of all ages – young, old, families, kids, couples, solo travelers. But most importantly, I would say, Attalos Hotel is one of the best hotels in Athens for all travelers who love to be in the city center. Yet, without hearing any noise – thanks to the soundproof windows! In the end, Attalos hotel and its view will blow your mind if you are a digital creator like I am or any other kind of artist! After all, we are all artists of some kind!
